CSI: Miami and actual event?

darkroom
vegetarianna24 asked:

Okay, so last nite @ 8:00pm, I was watching CSI:Miami. It was about all of these girls this “photographer” discovered and offered to have a shoot for. He ended up killing most of them. I heard it was based on a women-hate case or something. Anyone know? Something real that happened in the last 10-15 yrs I believe. the episode was called Darkroom, and it’s kinda older. Thankies!

No doubt a lot of cop shows are based loosely on actual events. I’ve seen the same thing on Law and Order.

There was a case out in California where a photographer took girls out into the desert and killed them.

A CSI:Las Vegas episode was also based on that.

It’s loosely based on William Bradford, a California photographer who killed some of the women he photographed.

Eva LaRue, who plays Natalia Boa Vista, actually identified a photograph of her younger sister that was taken by William Bradford.
