Try the bridal magazines and the bridal websites such as theknot.com and weddingsolutions.com or even weddingchannel.com. you can sometimes find some local ones for your area once you put in your zip code. If you have been to a few peoples weddings (which is how I found my photographer at my friends wedding) ask the couple about there photographer or ask friends who been to peoples weddings too if they know anyone.

I am into photography, and am trying to get into it, wellt o get my name out there, I hav emy friends pass the word on to their friend sthat they know someone, and I get gigs that way, right now ive only done one and charged 200 for it, it was just to get experience.
Go to a local college and give the offer to a photo teacher and see if they reccomend a student or ask students if they would be interested, look at their portfolio.
Mine turned out good, adn the people would have otherwise had little disposable cameras for pics and thats it.

Look on craigslist, or just google wedding photographers in your area.
Beware, though…there are a lot of “cheap” wedding photographers out there that are cheap for a reason. There is a misconception that wedding photographers automatically charge an arm and a leg just because we can for weddings…the fact of the matter is that weddings are a LOT of work, with a LOT of post-production work. For an average 12 hour wedding and reception, I usually have about 1,000 pictures, which amounts to 40+ hours of post production work. So…if you find a photographer that’ll do it for $300 or so, just remember…you get what you pay for.
Twenty years from now, you won’t have the cake, the dress, or the flowers….you’ll have your pictures. You want them done right, you want them done well, and you want to be able to look at them and smile, not think “OMG, I can’t believe we let THAT guy shoot our wedding…”
That’s not to say you need to spend $5K on a photographer, but be careful cutting corners on it.
