if you want an SLR, it’s going to be big, period. The only thing that is close is a bridge camera - something like the Powershot S5 IS.
If you want something small, I’d recommend something like the Powershot A570 - or if you **** those kind of models… a Powershot SD1000. A Cybershot DSC W-55 sounds good also.
If you don’t mind with something slightly larger (but still small), get a Powershot G7.
