Where can I buy an affordable, yet good non-digital camera?
I 'M taking a photography class this semester and my teacher requires that we have a camera fully manual 35mm. We 're learning about photography in black and white and the development of appropriate darkroom. What is a good brand that you can suggest? I have a Canon Rebel XT Digital, so if you know where I can get a non-digital, that would be great. Also, where can I buy it (Circuit City, better business, Wolf / Ritz Camera, etc.).? Please pray that I 'm on a relatively tight budget (like any other college student), so I can 't goes out and buys a really expensive camera. A couple one hundred U.S. dollars at most. Thank you!

You can still find a Canon Rebel (and other Canon Film Cameras) at places like B&H Photo and Adorama. If you only want to use it for this class you can even look to buy a refurbished one from these same places and save a few dollars.

If you look on Craigslist or Kijiji you’ll find tons of people selling their old SLRs for $75. There should be lots of Canon Rebels on there. Buy one of those and you’ll be able to use the lenses from your XT on it.

I cannot understand why college professors are still teaching people how to use film cameras??? They will be history in the next few years.
If you want my honest opinion, you need to find a photography class for digital cameras. I’m a professional photographer and have seen many clients actually turn away from using photographers who use film cameras still (which is very few anymore).
You need to find out why film is still being taught. If you ask me, the class is a waste of money.

You can try Craiglist, eBay and used department at your local camera shops for the used Film camera.
If you prefer brand new, Canon and Nikon still offer film cameras in their line-up, such as Nikon FM10.
