I know little about polaroid cameras but acknowledge they do have a place and a following. I’d recommend keep saving your money and buy the one you really want, I’ve never regretted buying the best and I have regretted buying something less than what I really wanted.

Look around thrift shops and flea markets. I’ve found two Polaroid LandCameras (LandCamera 210 and LandCamera 230), both of which use the type 669 film. The first one I found was for $5, and the second was for $8.
If you have a decent amount of free time, do a little looking around. Both needed a battery, but both are currently working absolutely beautifully. And the Polaroid Type 669 film allows for the good ol’ Emulsion Lift techniques, as well as image transfer.
Good luck with finding the Polaroid and don’t give up hope. Most of the time, people don’t know how valuable the cameras they give to Goodwill and the like!
